Item description
International Engineering Concern requires the service of an Estimator in Witbank area.
Supports the organization in compiling cost estimates for in house manufactured components including fabrication, machined components, sub contracted items and buyouts as well as the integration and repair thereof. This also includes projects with various role players involved i.e. site installations, man hours, systems, products and other plant utilities. This is for small to large scale projects on mines and power stations.
Requirements:
•Matric/ Grade 12 certificate
•Mechanical Trade – Fitter and Turner or Millwright, Structural
•5 – 10 years’ experience in the Steel and Metal manufacturing industries working as an Estimator
•HVAC experience an advantage
•Auto Cad, Ability to read technical drawings
•Detailed report writing for management
•Computer Literate a must
•Valid code 8 driver’s license and own transport
Duties (including but not limited to):
•Compile estimates from engineered drawings and apply manufacturing or assembly man hours and formulate a cost estimating to establish a selling price.
•Monitor and analyze cost trends, market changes and suppliers prices as a basis for specific cost maintenance for stock and existing products.
•Performs assigned analysis of cost trends and apply this to forecast price adjustments and cost implications.
•Compiles excel spread sheets with bills of quantities including costs, margins and overheads to enable the sales department to formulate a selling price for new and repaired products.
•Compliance with ISO 14001, 18001 and 9001 system.
•Inspection of sub-assemblies from mines and together with the quality department and customer formulate a repair strategy and cost for the sales or service department.
•Creating a bill of materials from drawings for new and repaired items and transfer this data onto the Accpac system.
•Compiles estimation sheet on all jobs, new and repairs, and maintain this data on the Accpac system.
Applicant must reside in Witbank or surrounding area.
